Apatron brandishing a BB gun at a popular Mexican restaurant near Bachman Lake was shot and killed early Tuesday morning by the restaurant’s security staff.
At approximately 2:10 am on January 7, the Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting call at El Pulpo, at 2835 W. Northwest Hwy. Officers found Francisco Guillen, a 25-year-old Latin male, outside the rear exit with multiple gunshot wounds.
According to a police report, Guillen and his friends became involved in a verbal confrontation with the restaurant’s security officer, Victor Villarreal, when Villarreal escorted them out of the restaurant.
Five minutes later, Villarreal was monitoring employees leaving the restaurant when Guillen returned and approached him from behind. As Villarreal, a licensed security guard, turned around, Guillen produced a pistol and pointed it at him.
Fearing for his life, Villarreal drew his pistol and shot Guillen multiple times. Guillen died at the scene. Later, his pistol was discovered to be a black/silver BB gun
